There has been significant advances in the mobile tech space over the past years and now some people belive that we are in a flattening curve if we draw a graph for innovation versus time. My personal opinion is that, in some areas it could be a flattening curve and in a majority of areas, we have tons of possibilities to move up the graph. For example, even though the chipset, which is the heart of a smart device like your mobile phone or computer does not seem to show massive improvements to the general users, they have been undergoing significant changes with drastic improvements year-by-year.
When factoring in the staggering amounts of resources needed by the daily apps we use, the amount of hardware components used such as face recognition sensors, high quality cameras, ultra-crispy screens with massive brightness levels and much more, the only component which helps manage all of these simultaneously is the processor. So make sure to appreciate your processor for doing all of those work while making sure that the battery lasts you the whole day to get all the things done.
Along with the processor, there is another important component which massively helps it to manage all these tasks efficiently. That is, "like the article's title mentioned" is the RAM. In the smart phone market, one particular brand does not bump up the capacity of the RAM significantly year after year, eventhough all its competitors have had double or triple the size at the same time. If you guessed the maker, good for you, its Apple. Let's look at the table below to get an idea of the RAM size of the iPhones.
